Victoria Hotel

The staff were helpful, and the room was clean and quiet. At breakfast, skip the so-called orange juice. The fruit was delicious, and the Greek yogurt with honey was scrumptious. The glass bathroom is interesting, though there’s nowhere to put the second shower head if you don’t want the overhead one soaking your hair. The bathroom lights up at night too, so a quiet trip to the loo will brighten the bedroom.

The location is hard to beat, with everything within walking distance, and the receptionist and waiters were completely polite and friendly. But the hotel feels old and the rooms badly need freshening up. The walls were dirty and the room could have been cleaner; they’re also so thin that I wouldn’t count on sleeping well. Breakfast was the bare minimum and felt like it hadn’t changed since the 70s.

Don’t stay here. The beds were painfully uncomfortable, there was a bad smell, and the bathroom door wouldn’t shut. Its walls were semi-opaque glass. I’ve never had a worse hotel stay.

Just outside the old town center, the location is very good, and the staff were kind and helpful. The rooms were only somewhat clean, though thank goodness the bathroom was clean. My sheets were fine, but my friend’s had what I believe were blood stains, though nothing too serious.
