We stayed four nights at Adonis Hotel, and the service really stood out for us. The staff were genuinely kind and among the most helpful people we’ve met on our travels. From arrival, they made us feel welcome, handled every request with a smile, and helped with transfers, ferries, things to do and car rental. Our room was clean and had a good view, and the breakfast buffet offered a good selection.

The hotel helped us arrange an ATV to explore the island, and on checkout day they opened breakfast early, at 7.30 instead of 8.00, so we could catch our bus. The bed was comfortable, the room worked perfectly well for us, and breakfast hit the spot. There’s a supermarket and launderette at the end of the street, and restaurants and bars are a short walk away. One tip if you’re coming from Parikia by bus: insist on getting off at the “expert” stop, named after the shop opposite it. Our driver wouldn’t let us off there and said he’d drop us at “Naoussa,” meaning the town centre. It wasn’t a disaster, but our walk with luggage went from 5 minutes to 15.

Lovely place, but the rooms under the stairs to the second floor get a lot of noise. When guests come back with their luggage around midnight, 1am or 2am, it sounds like a stampede and makes sleeping nearly impossible. I’d suggest putting carpet on the stairs.

Dean went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and felt comfortable. Fay knew the island so well and gave us great recommendations for beaches, restaurants and activities. They both made the stay feel personal. Adonis Hotel is small, peaceful and intimate, with spotless rooms and common areas. The fresh breakfast each morning was simple and delicious. We could walk to a beautiful beach or into town for dinner or a quick swim. We had a fantastic, relaxing stay!
