Iris Hotel

We spent four nights at Hotel Iris, and Anastasia and Vasia at the front desk made it especially memorable. They were delightful to talk with and gave us great suggestions for bars, restaurants, and an ATV rental. They also arranged a taxi to the ferry for our departure. Service was top notch throughout, and breakfast was fresh and filling each morning. My partner and I had such a wonderful time at this quaint little hotel. I was sad to leave and hope we can return soon.

Anastasia at the front desk was a true gem. Her energy and good intentions came through in our conversations, and she gave us loads of useful tips and directions for getting around the island and town. She really made the stay a firm five stars. The hotel itself is cute, clean, and has a beachy feel, with breakfast each morning that saved me searching for food. There was a nice range of eggs, bread, yogurt, croissants, tea, coffee, juice, and lots of tasty fruit. I was impressed that breakfast was included. It’s a short walk into the town of Noussa and the popular restaurants, and a bus ride to the ferry port isn’t far. The hotel is near the bus stop in Naoussa by the bakery, and was easy to find. The rocky walk up the hill was short and easy to manage. It’s a charming little place for a solo trip, a couple, or a small family.

It has a peaceful setting, and getting into town or to the local beach is an easy walk. The rooms are well maintained, and breakfast is fresh and generous. Hotel Iris felt warm and charming, almost like visiting family and having a home away from home. The staff were amazing and always ready to help. Thanks for such a memorable stay. We'll be back.

We had been looking forward to this vacation after a very hard year. My mother is in hospice care, and both my fiancé and I had suffered several family losses, including the recent death of his grandmother. We booked in May and hoped one thing might finally go right. When we had to cancel the entire trip to attend her funeral, the hotel refused a refund or any flexibility and offered 15% off a future stay. We would never consider booking there again. This isn't about asking for pity. We were grieving and arranging a funeral, not being careless or flaky travelers, and the hotel showed no empathy or even acknowledgment of what had happened. We canceled our whole Greece holiday to bury someone we loved. They could have shown compassion, but didn't. If you need understanding or even basic humanity, don't expect it here. Do not book this hotel. EDIT: In response to your reply a year later, please check your records again. What you said is simply untrue. The attached screenshot shows that we contacted you a full week before the trip to say we couldn't come, and your team replied. My mother was dying and his grandmother had just died. Until that week, we thought we could still travel, so the decision came at an unfortunate last minute. Calling us “no-shows” is inaccurate and deeply disrespectful. Even with everything going on, we contacted the property and explained clearly. Instead, we got a dismissive “we can’t do this for you” and the 15% future-stay discount. Why would we want to book again with a company that treated us so insincerely? This could have been sorted out easily at the time. Before accusing a guest, check the facts. We lost the full amount we paid, leaving a terrible impression during an already traumatic time. So no, we will not return.
