Parian Boutique Hotel

The stay was quiet and clean, and they gave us complimentary drinks at check-in. One issue: don’t have them arrange a town or airport transfer. It cost twice as much, and they wouldn’t book a taxi instead. Communication was lacking.

After a long day walking in the Mediterranean sun, it was nice to cool off in the hotel pool. The staff were friendly and professional, and our bed and pillows were big and really comfortable. Our lovely room had a sea view and gorgeous morning sunrises. The hotel was clean and well located, about a 5-minute walk to the town center. It’s also a 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop if you’re coming from the ferry port.

Very disappointing and extremely overpriced. We paid $2049 for two nights, with no breakfast included, and got a ground-floor room right on the street. The bathroom ceiling was covered in mould, and we had to ask for it to be cleaned. Glad we only stayed two nights.

The check-in and check-out service was good, and the location was okay, about a 10-minute walk into town. But the room had ants crawling around when we arrived, which made us uneasy about hygiene and maintenance. Our room was on an upper floor and very noisy. Between traffic and the mini split air conditioner, we had to play YouTube white noise on our phones just to sleep. The WiFi was so weak that I couldn’t send some important emails and had to go to an Internet cafe. The bathroom gets unbearably hot, and the built-in hair dryer was very poor, so I was late to a wedding because I couldn’t dry my hair. Bring a converter and your own dryer to use in the bedroom. For the price, I don’t think this is a four- or five-star hotel, more like a Hampton Inn or Best Western in the USA. We paid more than friends who stayed a few steps away at 60% less. Definitely shop around.
