I booked a triple room last year for €100 a night in mid-July. The price wasn’t necessarily high, but the room quality didn’t match it. The bathroom looked nothing like the pictures and was quite old. Because of its layout, shower water ran out onto the floor. During my seven-night stay, the room seemed to be cleaned only twice. The sheets weren’t changed, and sand from earlier days was still on the bed. The towels weren’t changed, and neither was the bathroom bin. The owner was rude and blamed us, although my friend and I only slept there and were out from morning until late afternoon. The booking site says Naousa center is 300 meters away, but it was more like 750-800 meters, about a 10-minute walk uphill. There’s no supermarket nearby. We asked the owner to bring us a bottle of water and said we’d pay him later, but he never did. After checkout, he also wouldn’t let us leave our luggage at reception even though our boat was leaving that evening, and didn’t help us carry it.

It’s a beautiful area, and the rooms were just so-so. The owner’s attitude was the worst part. I’ve never heard of an owner personally going after guests to get them to leave good reviews, but quite a few friends have told me stories like that about this accommodation.

The view is nice, but realistically you can get that at any hotel in this place. If you’re expecting anything beyond it, you’ll probably be disappointed.

The room was comfortable and really nice, with lovely views all around. Everything was very clean, and the staff were helpful and gave excellent service.

We paid €189 for two nights in a three-bed room, booking on the very same day, so it was very cheap compared with other places. The room was clean and spacious, but dark. It’s an old house that hasn’t been renovated, though it had what we needed apart from small shower gel and shampoo amenities. There was only one socket by a bed, and somehow it was connected to the room light. When we switched off the light, the socket lost power, so we had to leave the light on to charge our devices. After I left what I’d call an average review on Booking, I got messages saying, “ARE YOU NOT A LITTLE SHAME? DID YOU STAY AT HOME TO MAKE A REVIEW? THANK YOU.” The conclusion speaks for itself.
