Aegeon Apartments

The rooms are fairly basic and breakfast was lacklustre. Also, it seems to be essentially the same hotel as the neighbouring one, with a shared pool, reception, and check-in. Still, the location was really good and the pool was great. When our AC stopped working, the helpful staff had it fixed within two hours of us letting them know.

The location is hard to beat, only 50 metres from the beach and a 100-metre walk into the main town, yet it stayed quiet at night. Staff were kind and helpful, and the rooms had cosy beds and balconies with seating. There's also a rooftop area with panoramic views of the mountains, Chora, and the ocean, plus a lovely pool. Laundry is available for a reasonable fee. Highly recommend.

The pool was nice and a comfortable temperature during our July stay, though it gets deep, from 1m to 2.8m. The location is good, between the beach and chora. The hotel is decent for what you'd expect from a 2-star place. Breakfast wasn't worth €10, and the staff weren't especially welcoming. The shower was cramped but had excellent water pressure. There are lots of stairs to the rooms, so I don't think it's accessible for people with mobility needs. The beds came with just a single sheet. We asked for a blanket and got something like a towel, only rougher.

The glass shower door was broken, and when I tried to fix it, the whole panel shattered and cut me in several places. Luckily I was wearing a towel, so I only got cuts on my legs and a little on my hands. The reception here was never open, so we checked in at the neighbouring hotel's desk, though that was easy enough since the hotels are connected. The receptionist gave us hardly any information about the area and took us straight to the room. We also weren't told that breakfast wasn't included. Maybe it was our responsibility to know, but someone could have mentioned it. Breakfast itself was mediocre and expensive for the quality. On the plus side, the pool was very clean, the room was spacious with a nice balcony, and the location was fantastic, a minute from the beach and close to the city centre. It was quiet and had a nice terrace too.
