Glaros Petit Hotel

Stella and the staff were great with us, responding promptly before we arrived and throughout our stay. They also helped arrange taxis, and the hotel offered extras to buy, including breakfast, cocktails, wine, and an indoor spa. Our room opened onto a shared terrace with lovely beach views and sunsets. St George beach is just steps away, with Nissaki, a good restaurant right on the beach, nearby too. The main town is about a five minute walk, and the port takes roughly twelve minutes on foot. Without heavy bags, walking from the port entrance is manageable. We couldn't have asked for a better base in lovely Naxos. Highly recommend it.

The room was clean, had really good AC, and came with the things we needed to make the stay easy. It's worth knowing the bathroom and shower were quite small, and beach towels were replaced every other day, though shower towels came daily. Neither would stop me from coming back. We liked being able to walk to and from the port, and we skipped renting a car since the bus was easy to reach and took us to the best beaches. The front desk women were wonderful, knew us by name, and made everything straightforward. Laundry was 15 euro per bag, much less than at the other hotels on our Greece trip. There's no elevator, but they always carried our bags for us. The top floor porch is shared with a few rooms. You have your own section, though it isn't private, and I still think an upstairs room is worth it. A really great stay.

Stella and the rest of the team were fantastic, with helpful tips for restaurants and places to see. I also loved the jazz playing in the lobby. It always made me smile as I came and went. The hotel is so close to the beach, just 3-4 minutes from the room to the shore. The stretch with the more desirable chairs is about a 10 minute walk along the beach. Our room, number six, had a balcony with an ocean view. It was small, but plenty of space for two. The rooms feel modern, and I especially loved the shower. I wish I had one like it at home. I enjoyed the hotel a lot.

We just had another lovely stay at Glaros. Alex, Stella, and the team welcomed us so warmly again, and were generous and friendly as ever. Nothing seems like too much trouble, and the attention to detail is hard to beat. The rooms are gorgeous, beautifully decorated, and spotless. Breakfast is superb, too. Sitting on the balcony with a nice glass of wine to watch the sunset is hard to top. I can't imagine finding a better place.
