Naxos Rhyton-Adults Only

Petros, George and Maria were so kind, and Petros made sure we had everything we needed. He also helped plan each day's itinerary, and his recommendations were all great. Breakfast was delicious too. Our four nights at Naxos Rhyton were a 10/10 experience. The thoughtfully designed room had an incredible view, and even though restaurants and shops are a short walk away, it stayed quiet and peaceful. We hope we can come back someday.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rhyton and plan to return. It met all our needs and then some. The room was lovely, stocked with drinks and extra supplies, and restocked daily. We heard no outside noise, just the ocean. This place is more AirBnB style than a traditional hotel, with no reception desk open around the clock, which some travelers might mind. But Petros was available 24/7, answered quickly, helped with anything we needed and made the trip better with all his information. He was extremely pleasant. I highly recommend it.

From our first contact to leaving, everything was faultless. Petros arranged all sorts of things for us on the island and answered every kind of question promptly. When we left, the owner Yorgos saw us off. The room, amenities, service and incredible view were all outstanding. Easily one of the most enjoyable hotel stays we've had. Highly recommended!

We left feeling that this stay hadn't earned the five stars I'd originally given it. After the first night I liked the room enough to add an extra night, but the next day I regretted that choice. The refrigerator wasn't fully restocked, and I wasn't properly rested. I'd booked it as a romantic end to our Greece trip, and it fell short. There were things we did enjoy. The room's look and layout were nice, and I liked the tech features, including built-in Bluetooth speakers, remote-controlled curtains and a Smart TV. The hot tub's view of the Temple of Apollo was lovely. Petros was friendly and available for questions and suggestions, and the complimentary breakfast was something we looked forward to. We walked to the cafe each morning, where the owners were kind and friendly. We also liked the complimentary drinks in the room, but for the off-season price, I expected a full restock every day, which didn't happen. The bed was very hard, as were the pillows. Worst of all was the thin, sheet-like cover. The weather was cool, and at night it felt like being covered in paper, not cozy or comfortable at all. After checkout, I got an itchy, uncomfortable rash all over the areas under my swimsuit. I recognized it from getting the same thing years ago from a poorly maintained hot tub. It's called pseudomonas folliculitis, and a doctor diagnosed it back then. Since we were traveling, I didn't see a doctor this time, but the symptoms felt familiar. In retrospect, the hot tub water wasn't clear. I spent the last week of our vacation in Greece with the rash, and management was dismissive and doubted me when I told them. They offered nothing to make a positive impression on a customer after this. Maybe some things have been fixed since we stayed a few weeks ago, but our experience was less than ideal.
