Be very careful with this hotel and its staff. I booked by phone and they confirmed it. When I called again to confirm, I was trying to be fair because traffic was bad and we wanted to let them know we’d be delayed. They then told me to pay quickly because the reservation wasn’t guaranteed, even though they had first confirmed cash payment. They were completely unfair about it. I was on the highway with my baby and they were pressing me to pay urgently. Miserable staff. I found another great hotel instead. Thanks for the miserable service.

There’s no elevator, so keep that in mind if you’re carrying very heavy luggage. Still, we were completely satisfied and thought it was great value. The room was spacious, and especially the bathroom was clean. The staff were kind, friendly, and always smiling. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the port and center, and you can also get there by transport.

The rooms and bathroom have radiators, and each room also has a modern heat pump, double-pane windows, and pull-down shutters on the balcony door, so it seems well set up for cozy winter stays. I’d definitely stay here again in Volos. My one minor gripe is the mattress: it was so soft that, as a big guy, I sank into it like a hammock. The manager, or possibly the owner, assured me firmer new mattresses had been ordered.

The rooms are small, but worth a visit. It’s quiet and away from the main area, with good value, very clean rooms, and good staff.
