Alkionis Apartments

Our family room had a large fridge, a fairly well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. We also had a big balcony with a table for six, where we could eat breakfast or dinner while looking out at the sea and sunset. It’s a small family-run hotel right on the beach, with a narrow sandy stretch and a nice pool. The staff were kind and helpful, and there’s a very good restaurant just a few steps away. The supermarket is about a five-minute walk.

The neighborhood was quiet, and hearing the waves was lovely. We had two apartments and a superior studio, each with a sea panorama. All three were spacious, cozy, and clean. Andreas was a great host. Thank you so much! 😊

The lady owner’s smile each morning, along with little treats for my kids and mom, set us up for a lovely day out. Andreas was on hand for even my odd questions, and was flexible about greeting us well after midnight because our plane was delayed. This is a family-run hotel, very clean and thoughtfully designed, in a great spot between Rethymno and Heraction. Fantastic experience, we’ll be back 🤍💙

We stayed at Alkionis in 2015 and again in 2021. The apartments were clean and in good shape, with signs of renovation and no damage to the walls or furniture. We booked directly without any problems. Andreas was a very good owner and told us about getting around Crete. Our second-floor apartment had a sea view and was a quiet place with what we needed to cook once a day. There was enough cutlery for breakfast and salads, or to reheat food from a taverna, plus different pots and pans. We usually preferred the nearby taverna Kahegias. There’s a small sandy beach right by the building. It’s natural and a bit wild, and seaweed washes in from time to time. The water was clean and there were no rocks. Breakfast was served individually, with a choice of main dish plus fruit, yogurt, bread, biscuits, and other things. Thank you, Andreas and Elefteria!
