Almyra Apartments

It’s a quiet, family-friendly place with good value and genuine Cretan hospitality. Almyra Apartments in Sfakaki is right by the sea, with lovely views and a peaceful atmosphere, a nice escape from Crete’s busier areas. My apartment was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed, including a small kitchen and balcony overlooking the water. The garden and pool area were lovely and well kept, and there’s a small beach just steps away. Andreas was very friendly and helpful, and shared good suggestions for local restaurants and places to visit. Keep in mind it’s a quiet area, so you’ll need a car to explore Rethymno or find more nightlife.

The host was extremely nice and always ready to help, and the rooms were very clean and well equipped. There’s a private pool at the property. The beach is only a two-minute walk away, and there’s a bus stop right in front. Rethymno is about 15 minutes away by car. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it for a relaxing, comfortable vacation in Crete! 🌴

The location and staff were two big pluses for me. Andreas was welcoming, and there’s a coffee bar on the next street. The rooms were spotless and the place was peaceful, with a pool area that had a hammock, tables, and chairs for relaxing. You can get to the beach for a swim in two minutes. I can’t recommend it enough 😊👌🏻

We spent 18 nights at Almyra Apartments, and I had such a peaceful, relaxing stay with my girlfriend. Andreas, the owner, was wonderful and greeted us warmly every day. Our apartment had everything we needed and was kept nice and clean. I loved relaxing by the pool, swimming in the nearby sea, eating at Sfakaki’s tavernas, and chatting with friendly locals. We hired bikes and found it an excellent base for cycling up into the hills. We’re coming back next year, and I’m already looking forward to evenings on the balcony.
