Sunday Boutique Hotel

I spent three nights there in June of 2024, and the restaurant stood head and shoulders above anything else in the region. My room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. Compared with the other five-star hotels I've stayed at on the Greek islands and mainland, everything was great. Everyone at the hotel was polite, patient, and willing to help. I'd highly recommend Sunday to anyone looking for a first-class experience in Evia.

The breakfast came in two courses, with generous portions and great taste, very much in keeping with the generosity of the family owners. Staff were attentive and friendly. The rooms are spacious, modern in design, and well equipped, and the location right by the beach is excellent. We've rarely slept in beds as comfortable as these. The hotel has been around for 7 decades and was very recently renovated to a high, modern standard. Excellent rooms, service, and breakfast. Highly recommended!

I can't comment on the rooms since I've never stayed there or seen them. This is just about the hotel café and restaurant. The staff were kind and prompt, and there was a big choice of food, though it isn't the place for a traditional Greek meal. The menu has things like pizzas, pastas, and coffees. It's right on the beach in Nea Styra, with two outdoor dining spots, one above the road and one down by the water. The decor is updated and adorable.

The front-facing rooms were pretty noisy because of the bars, and we weren't given any information about the massages and treatments mentioned on the website. The bathroom was missing basic items like Q-tips and cotton pads. Its transparent window between the bathtub and room might be fun for a young couple, but doesn't suit every situation. Staff were kind, though inexperienced and sometimes slow, so for a four-star hotel the stay didn't meet our expectations. On the plus side, breakfast was brought to our room and was great, the location was idyllic, and the room was spacious, with an amazing view and a very thoughtful renovation. It's the best hotel in the area, but still needs a lot of effort and training to become a real four-star hotel.
