Leaving was miserable too: our hands were full of bags and luggage, and the receptionist couldn’t even be bothered to open the door. The room itself was filthy, with dead bugs around, and the carpets seemed to be hiding damaged floorboards. There was only one wall socket, and the furniture and appliances were old. The bath was so bad we could only use it as a toilet, not for a shower. A horrible experience.

The traditional food was delicious, and the place had a really nice atmosphere. We came with our family on a snowy Christmas day just to eat. The staff and service, though, were much too rude, slow, and awkward. We’ll miss the good food, but we wouldn’t go back because of the staff.

Yianni was wonderful to us and even called a cab so we could visit nearby towns. The driver was knowledgeable and accommodating. Our room was spotless, with plenty of hot water and heat. We loved the hotel and beautiful Nymfaio Greece, and had a wonderful weekend. I’d stay again and recommend it to anyone coming to Nymfaio.

Casa Mara sits in a great spot above the village, with a view over all of it. The prices are reasonable for what’s provided. We had a very pleasant stay, with a lovely host, clean warm rooms in winter, and top rated hospitality. Highly recommended ☺️

We were happy to spend a night here. The rooms were clean and the surroundings beautiful. The lady working there was so friendly and looked after us at dinner and breakfast, even giving us extra food for the road.
