Kalokerino house

Olympiada was a lovely place to slow down, especially for families and people who enjoy nature or the feel of a traditional Greek seaside village. The promenade is closed to cars, so children can wander and play safely. Our son is thriving with all that freedom and independence. The beach, a few well-stocked supermarkets, and the charming central square are all just a minute away. We stayed at Kalokerino, Anastasia’s lovely hotel, in one of her apartments. It was small, as many holiday rentals in Greece are, but arranged thoughtfully and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location couldn’t be better. Anastasia and her mother, Zefira, were warm, generous hosts from the moment we arrived. They welcomed us like family, with smiles, helpful tips, and friendly chats. It was an unforgettable stay, and we’re already looking forward to returning. We highly recommend Kalokerino and Anastasia’s hospitality.

Zafira and Anastasia were perfect hosts. Thank you for everything! The hotel is right on the beach, where guests can use sunbeds and umbrellas free of charge. There’s also a shared room where you can relax, read, enjoy the view, and make espresso or filter coffee whenever you like. I recommend trying the restaurant’s fresh Sea Bass.

The town felt neglected and poorly maintained, so I’d look somewhere else, not just at another hotel in Olympiada. The room was far below what I expected from the booking site photos. It and the bathroom were very small, with the toilet and shower practically sharing the same one square meter. The sink kept clogging, and the walls had a plaster finish with no tiles.

We loved every minute of our week at Kalokerino. Zafira and Anastasia were the best part, making both us and our dog feel so welcome. The hotel is right on the beach, with Akroyiali restaurant downstairs. We had a great breakfast there every morning and got a 10% discount for staying at Kalokerino. Our room was spotless and had all the amenities, and we really appreciated the complimentary coffee each morning. We’ll definitely come back.
