Ms Antonia did a great job! It’s a traditional hotel with a wonderful view, and I loved the delicious breakfast. I’ll definitely come back next year!

The managers were cold and uncommunicative, and seemed focused only on getting money from us in advance. The room was far too expensive for what it offered, and even the breakfast cost extra despite being miserable. Everything came with a charge, and we weren’t allowed to buy even basic necessities outside the hotel. We were there for 10 days, two adults and a child, squeezed into a room too small for three and with nothing special about it. The website photos gave a misleading impression, nothing like what you’d expect from a decent accommodation. Our room looked out onto the parking lot. The accommodation was the only bad part of our vacation on an otherwise beautiful island.

We stayed three nights and the room was never cleaned. On the first day, we found a pair of slippers and two little bottles under the bed. When we asked why, they said they clean every three nights and that the cleaner would be reprimanded. The towels and sheets were unchanged too, though at least they were folded. The rooms are very small. We were there during the August 15 period, unfortunately, and there was nowhere else available for us to move. The owners simply didn’t care. That’s it!

The Island House left us with the worst impression. In August, our room cost 125.50 euros a night, which felt overpriced for a stay with no special service. We also found the two women managing the rooms rude, unsmiling, and disrespectful. They seemed concerned only with money and took advantage of the island being full, with no regard for customers. We argued about a magnet missing from our room key. Mrs. A. said we’d have to pay the full cost of replacing it with a new technology system, and if we didn’t like that, we could leave the next morning. She told us she owns 4 hotels, but, in our view, lacks good manners and personal education. These women would not accept the legal POS payment method, apparently to avoid losing even a euro from the reservation tax and keep it all for themselves. We’ve already notified the tourist police and are proceeding with steps involving the SDOE of ATHENS and our family lawyer. When we asked for a receipt, the lady issued one for #1,000# without writing out the amount in full, which could be forged at any time. The 4 euros for the accommodation tax, however, was written correctly. Ladies, be QUIET and HUMBLE! Money isn’t the only thing of value in life.

The girls were so kind, and their heartfelt yet traditional Greek hospitality made our 5 days really special. It’s a lovely place, very close to Chora and Panagia, right beside a spotless beach. The rooms are clean, and breakfast is fantastic, delicious, and served in large portions.
