Hotel Proteas

There are lovely beaches, cafes, and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is cozy and near the beach, and its garden is just right for a late evening or an afternoon nap in the hammock. Breakfast was ok. The rooms are small, but clean.

We booked four nights but left after one because of serious safety concerns. The balcony doors wouldn’t lock, some electrical sockets were loose with wires exposed, the bathroom was in very poor shape, and the beds were too short to sleep on properly. The property was in extremely bad condition. I wouldn’t recommend staying until major improvements are made to the safety and quality. Photos attached.

The calm setting and lush greenery make Hotel Proteas a relaxing place to stay, with the sea close by. It sits in a picturesque part of the “Emerald Island,” and the beach is peaceful and clean, only about 20 meters away. Guests can use free sunbeds, which is a real plus for enjoying the sea without extra cost or crowds. The owners are lovely, helpful, and ready to assist. The place is pet friendly, too. Prices are fair and affordable, especially with breakfast included. Breakfast was fresh and varied. The hotel was impressively clean throughout. Rooms are cleaned daily, and towels changed every three days. I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Proteas in Skala Prinos, Thassos. It combines Greek hospitality with beautiful island scenery, and I highly recommend it for a quiet getaway near the beach, whether you’re traveling as a couple, with friends, family, or your dog.

The beach was one of the best in Thassos: not too crowded, with food and drinks service, clean sand, and perfect water. After seven nights, I can also say that our rooms were very clean, the hotel is close to the beach, and the hosts were friendly the whole time.
