Blue Waters Mykonos

We booked the Blue House on 8 February for a March 14th stay. At booking we asked for an airport transfer, but nobody got in touch for our flight details. I emailed twice and got no response. On the Friday before arrival, a man said someone would call me right back. By Tuesday, after no call, I rang again and was told the same thing. Katerina eventually called 20 minutes later and quoted €30 for their driver. After nearly 30 hours of travel, we wanted to relax in the hot tub, but it was completely empty. Katerina said they don’t fill it until April. I explained that the tub was one of the main reasons we’d booked, but she didn’t reply or offer to fill it. She also sent the wrong WiFi password, and the living room TV wasn’t working correctly. That first night I cried because this wasn’t what we thought we were getting. The next morning, my husband found another place with a ready-to-use hot tub. Although it wasn’t due to open until the following day, they prepared our suite and invited us to stay within an hour. We used Katerina’s driver, again for €30. After a few days taking taxis around the island, we’d paid only €15-20 per ride, including for trips much farther than Katerina’s driver took us. I messaged her to say we felt overcharged for both the transfer and the nights at the same rate as if the tub had been usable. The site said the airport transfer was free. We had paid for five nights but were only asking for a partial refund, not all our money back. She became very nasty and lied. She said the tub wasn’t filled because of wind and safety, even though it had only been windy on our fifth day on Mykonos. She seemed to have forgotten that she’d said it wasn’t open until April. She also said I should have known it was off season and that the transfer wasn’t free, and that I’d agreed to €30. I only agreed because she said taxis were limited off season and wouldn’t come to the property. That wasn’t true. She claimed we must have used an illegal taxi service and that she charged less than the law allowed. What matters is what’s right, not what the law allows. She refused to refund any amount. If you have a young child, do not book here. They could fall off the cliff onto the rocks and into the water. It’s dangerous for little ones. Before booking, confirm with the host, if you can reach them, that everything works and the tub is filled. We’ll avoid this place if we ever return to Mykonos and stay at Villa Elina Suites and More instead. We were overcharged and got less than we expected.

Katerina made us feel supported the whole time. She’s warm, welcoming, professional, and answered messages within moments. Her local team could handle things quickly and efficiently, and she clearly cares about her guests. At Blue Waters Mykonos, the house was bright, spacious, and comfortable, with thoughtful design and sea or horizon views through every window and door. Daily cleaning was included, so we came back each day to fresh bathrooms and gleaming floors. They also brought clean towels daily, which added a lot to the comfort. The location in Ornos bay is hard to beat. I highly recommend this pearl and hope to return soon. Thank you, Katerina, for an unforgettable stay!

Katerina was a lovely host and made us feel so welcome. We stayed in the grey house at Blue Waters Mykonos, with incredible views and an easy walk to Ornos’s main beach. There are lots of restaurants and yummy cafes nearby too. We enjoyed every minute and can’t wait to return.

Katharina was available 24/7 and sorted out our questions and transportation wishes. The airport transfers both ways were free and excellent, and the driver kept our luggage safe on our last day. The White House is right in the center of Mykonos oldtown, just five minutes from the old port, and the rooftop is perfect. We’d book again anytime.
