Milos Gem Suites Inn

Filio was an incredible host. She met us with recommendations, and they all turned out to be great. After that, she was quick to answer any questions. We also had refreshments waiting for us. This was a wonderful, unusual stay, and the boat house is a lovely place to relax if you don’t want to head out every day. At night we swam right outside the door, and there’s a beautiful beach not far away. It’s well placed for visits to the beaches and towns, and Milos itself was an amazing island. We hope to come back.

I only wish we could have stayed longer. The boathouse was spotless, quiet, and had everything we needed, with the water just outside making a lovely sound as we fell asleep. We swam in the cove, walked around the area, and watched the sunset. Coffee on the balcony each morning and wine there each evening were such a treat. Filio helped with suggestions for a car rental, a boat tour, and places to eat. She even brought us fruit from her garden. Manolis and Filio Home by the Sea gave us a wonderful, unique stay and lasting memories. It was just right for a peaceful time by the water.

Filio was so kind and flexible with our arrival time, and met us at the house. She’d left local wine, espresso, and bottled water for us. Before we came, she sent detailed information about beaches and restaurants around the towns, then added more suggestions and showed us pictures when we arrived. We swapped numbers, and she was on hand for advice whenever we needed it. The house was in perfect shape and had everything we needed to cook every meal. There was even a wash basin and rack for laundry. From the house we could see the sunset, and the nearby cliffs also gave us lovely sunrise views. We loved the cove beach, where local children played and waves crashed. We had the neighboring Alogomandra beach, which is very large, all to ourselves. We rented a buggy at the port town of Milos and had an easy, scenic 15-minute drive to the house. It was about 10 minutes to Apollonia, 20 to Klima, and 20 to Tsigrado Beach across the island. The spot felt secluded but gave us easy access to everything. My husband and I spent four days and three nights here and had such a relaxing time. It was the perfect home for a few days, and we’d stay with Filio again if we return to Milos.

Waking up to that breathtaking view was pure bliss. The house was clean and beautiful, and someone had taken care of every detail. Thanks so much for having us, Filio and Manolis. We hope to return to Milos and stay at your place again.
