Papafragas Studios

The rooms were clean, and both the owner and cleaner were really friendly. We had a minor fridge issue, which the owner handled well. Getting around is easy if you have your own transport, and there's also a bus route. A lovely beach is an easy walk away, great for watching the sunset.

The rooms are quite nice, and the area around them isn't bad, but most of the rest was difficult. Reception was empty when we arrived at 4 pm, with no note from the owners and nobody answering the phone. We had to call again and again before reaching anyone and getting into our room. We never saw the receptionist during our stay, since they only work from 10 to 3, when you're usually out. We also wanted to check out sometime between 6 and 9, but they couldn't come, and now we're being told to leave the payment in cash. Getting around was a hassle because the property is far from places you'd want to visit. Without a vehicle, you're stuck relying on the bus, which only runs ten times a day, from 7:15 to 22:30, and isn't punctual. It can be twenty minutes early or late, and it only goes to the port, where you need to change buses for wherever you're headed. I'd suggest staying near the port instead and saving yourself the transport hassle and expense.

The patio is spacious enough and looks out to the sea. We stayed in the clean Athina room, which had what we needed to make a meal. Papafragas Studios are in a lovely, quiet part of Milos.

The rooms were perfect, and everyone was so kind. They also shared lots of information about the island. Great studios in Milos, highly recommend.
