Holiday Inn Athens Attica Av. Airport West by IHG

The room was a lovely surprise. It had everything I needed, from a proper spot for my huge suitcase to a roomy desk and a comfortable couch by the window where I had coffee at 4 a.m. The bathroom was fully equipped, and both it and the bedroom were clean and tidy. I only had a few hours between flights, so the stay was very short, but it seems perfect for business trips. I just wish the neighbors had been quieter. People were coming and going at all hours, so bring earplugs.

The luggage transfer from the port cost €170 for a single trip, which felt very expensive. Our booking online was meant to cover taxes and charges, but the hotel raised the price and said government taxes had recently changed. The room was 25C when we arrived, and even in early June the AC took hours to bring it down to 21C, so that first night was warm and uncomfortable. At checkout, nobody asked how the stay had gone or if we enjoyed it.

The rooms were super clean, and the staff were very good, friendly, and helpful. It's a great hotel near the airport. The food was okay, about what you'd expect for the price, and it wouldn't stop us from staying here again. We got scammed by a taxi driver on the way to the hotel. The bus only comes once an hour, and we'd missed it by five minutes, so make sure you've got a plan.

We had a clean, comfortable room that met our expectations, and everything about the stay felt easy and well organized. Having a restaurant right at the hotel was handy after long days of travel and exploring. The staff were courteous, welcoming, and helpful throughout. The airport transport was a lifesaver and made getting there and back much easier. We had a fantastic stay at Holiday Inn Athens Attica, and we'd gladly return on another Athens trip. Thanks to the whole Holiday Inn Athens Attica team.
