Edem Beach Apartment Mountain View

I couldn't wait to leave. The balcony was huge and okay, but the street noise outside was intense. The one thing I enjoyed was sitting in bed, looking at the sky and listening to birds. The staff were kind, but that doesn't make up for the stay. I paid about 80$ a night, and to me the place was worth 30$. I wouldn't recommend it. Horrible. I stayed in the adjacent apartment with a "seaview." It's on the same floor and has the same owner, but it doesn't show on Google. From the moment I saw the building, I felt uneasy. It looked janky and run down. If you have a big suitcase, there's a flight of stairs to go down, which was hell for me, and carrying it back up at checkout was worse. Inside the building, the humidity and mold smell hit me. The elevator also had issues: a technician was pumping water out of the shaft, so I waited a few minutes. Riding that little, obsolete elevator was scary, and every time it reached a floor it sounded like a bomb had landed. I could hear it every five minutes until late. The apartment itself wasn't terrible, but it wasn't for me, and it was very dirty. The kitchen was especially bad. I didn't want to touch anything, let alone cook there: the brush, micro, oven, drawers, table, and runner were disgusting. The washing machine was just as bad, with surfaces that looked like they'd never been cleaned. The bed was horrible, small, squeaky, and creaking. The children's pillows were lumpy, and the sheets were poor quality and on the small side. When I complained, the property manager gave a weird explanation that they shrink when washed at high temperatures. The second night was a nightmare because the guests in the adjacent apartment were having rough "personal" moments at 4:30 am, and I could hear everything. The upstairs neighbor's heels and every movement carried through, too.
