Noufaro

I was really upset by the Husky kept in a cage here. She looked in poor condition, with open wounds, bad skin rashes, and matted fur, and seemed to get very little interaction from the owners. I can only guess at the reasons, but sometimes it seemed she wasn't checked on for days. When they did come, they just topped up the food and water and left. The climate also seems unsuitable for a Husky, and keeping a dog caged is illegal in Greece. Sir, if you don't have time for such a demanding breed, please consider giving her to someone else. Your dog loves you, but she's slowly losing her mind in there. As for the room, it was clean and had what we needed. The mattresses were clean and thick, though a little hard, which is down to taste. It's a very basic setup, and some things, like the wardrobe, need replacing. The cleaner was nice, attentive, and seemed to keep on top of things. It was otherwise a good place to stay, but bear in mind it's up on a hill.

The staff were lovely, and a cleaner came every two days to tidy up, though I was out most of the day and never saw her working. I spent seven days here through an offer from Christian Tour, and the place was nice overall. I'd recommend it if you're planning to visit Corfu. A supermarket is right down from the villa, so food and water were easy to get, and La Grotta, a cool restaurant and bar built into the cliff, is five minutes away. There was a nice view a few dozen metres from my room. The studio was average-sized, with useful extras for such a rustic place: TV with HDMI and USB so I could use my Chromecast, Wi-Fi, an electric oven and stove, and air conditioning for 5 euros a night. Some nights get very warm, so the AC helped. I even tried the stove to make a Theraflu one day. The beds were twins, which could make cuddling tricky for a couple. The floors above and below had mosquito nets at their balcony doors, but mine didn't. In summer, bugs were an issue: mosquitoes almost every night and two millipedes, so bring repellent.

The terrace was nice and the bed comfortable. The owner was willing to help, the location was good, and everything was clean and working. The rooms are really small, though, and the equipment is a bit old. There's no dining table inside, and you'll need to be ready for mosquitoes.

The view from Noufaro Apartments is beautiful, and the landlord helped us from start to finish, even arranging a rental car at an excellent price. Lara, the husky, is soooooo cute! I definitely recommend staying here in Korfu.
