It was a quiet, relaxing spot, and fine for snorkeling. For two sunbeds and an umbrella, it cost 20 euros. There’s no nearby place to get food or drinks. You can swim over to the nearest beach, where there’s more to see.

A nice little beach for snorkeling, and if you’re determined you can spot some interesting underwater creatures. The beach beds now cost 30 for the rows along the shore, which feels a bit steep.

A peaceful, tucked-away beach with very clean water and sand. Swimming and snorkeling were both great. A front-row spot costs 30€. There aren’t facilities apart from a shower and changing cabin, though you can get food in several places across the parking area.

If you’re after a quiet break from the busy tourist spots, Ampelaki is a peaceful little cove. It’s tucked between green hills and striking cliffs just west of bustling Paleokastritsa, with a mix of pebbles and sand. You can rent a boat to explore nearby hidden coves, and there’s an older dive centre on site if you want to explore underwater. It’s a place for taking it easy and enjoying nature, not partying.

It’s a beautiful bay, but hired sun loungers and umbrellas take up almost the whole beach. We wanted to rent just one pair for our parents and sit on the beach ourselves, but there wasn’t room, so we went back to the main beach instead.
