We stopped because this was the first restaurant along the beach promenade serving Greek food, and I’m glad we did. The dolmadakia were delicious, and the Cretan salad was generously sized and very tasty. I also enjoyed the sweet white wine with its honey notes. Dinner was lovely in the deep shade, right by the sea with a view of the ferris.

Maybe we’ve been spoiled by the restaurants we know in Kreta, but this one didn’t really impress us. The view is awesome, and that seems to be what you pay for. The calamari wasn’t fresh, and the cuttlefish with olives was too salty to enjoy. The Anthons (Zucchini Flowers) were great, though. That was it.

The restaurant is right on the beach, and the staff were perfect. The garlic bread was fantastic, and the other food was great too. They have a stone bakery inside, and best of all, it wasn’t expensive. Very good, I recommend it.

The saganaki was good, and the draught beer was the best part. The lamb chops were gristly and overcooked, and the calamari wasn’t tender.
