We arrived to find a driver waiting, and they can arrange rides to and from the ferry or airport for about 20€. After the long ferry trip, our driver even took us to get gyros when we were hungry. They also left water and wine in the fridge for free. Breakfast comes to your door at the time you choose, with continental and cold options. It was quiet and beautiful up on the hill, with the beach a short walk down the path, and the plunge pool was a lovely extra. Such warm hospitality in Milos. We’ll be back!

We stayed four nights after booking through Booking.com in June 2022, paying €409 for a room with breakfast, sea view and hot tub. The room was small but nicely furnished, with a beautiful view of Paleochori beach. The main hassle was the steep, dusty dirt road to the rooms. It was inconvenient to use with a scooter or car, especially when carrying two large hard-sided suitcases. I’d suggest the road behind, the one that leads to the Studios. I hope they’ve fixed the access since then. Dimitris was kind and helpful throughout. He arranged scooter rental and luggage transfers both ways, free on the way there and €18 for the return, given our 6:45 am departure. He also found me a laptop adapter. On the two mornings we left early, breakfast was delivered the night before. The morning breakfast box included a Nescafe sachet, though as an Italian I like to have coffee first thing. There was so much food that we saved some for a snack, including a banana and a sandwich.

We got to Milos safely, and our vacation could finally start. Here’s what awaited us: a car we were pressured to rent for €50 a day, or a €25-each-way ride to the accommodation if we declined. They wouldn’t give us the address, and we had to be accompanied to pick up the keys. The choice felt obvious. There’s a small pool, just enough for a quick cool-off, but we didn’t want to linger there. The room was tiny and poorly insulated, with a garden shared with the neighbors and no privacy. The bed was so soft it felt like an air mattress on water, and we had back pain and a scoliosis-like feeling during the stay. We heard the neighbors getting up instead of birds. If the refrigerator didn’t wake you, the pool equipment rumbled through the room every five minutes and made sure you didn’t miss breakfast. Breakfast was the same industrial, mass-produced food every day, with no variety. There are no shops or restaurants nearby, and a decent breakfast is 11 km away. The view was of garbage, with flies joining us for breakfast. The tiny room smelled of pool chemicals and sewage rather than the sea. We also only got cold showers at the start. We were told the solar water heater was the reason. We tried contacting our host, Dimitris, but he ignored us, even though he had replied before we arrived. Spend a bit more and you can find much better on the island. It’s hard to imagine finding somewhere worse. Enjoy your stay! ♥️

We stayed for six days and were thrilled with the place. The view across the landscape and sea was beautiful, and the accommodation itself was fantastic. Our room was charmingly decorated and clean, the pool was checked and cleaned daily, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Breakfast delivered to us was fresh and delicious. It’s the best place we’ve stayed on any holiday. We’d love to return, and wish there were more places like it. Thank you for such a wonderful time! 🫶

The terrace and jacuzzi were the only parts we really liked. We stayed because the island was full, but I wouldn’t recommend this place. The room wasn’t the one we’d booked and paid for, and nobody told us before we arrived. It was filthy: salt and toothpaste left in the bathroom, mud and dirt in the sink, a dirty shower, ants all over the walls, and towels with faint brown marks. Breakfast, which cost an extra 20 euros, was just cheap supermarket food, an egg and toast. The egg seemed to have come from a caged hen, and the other items were much the same. During our six days, towels and sheets were changed and rubbish taken out only once. We also ran out of toilet paper for the final two days. One of the worst hotel room experiences I’ve had.
