Villa D'Oro - Luxury Villas & Suites

The pool situation was the main disappointment, though I’d still like to come back. We specifically chose this hotel so the kids wouldn’t have to travel or walk to swim. We understand it was the off season, but people still expect to be able to use their private pool, and the listing hadn’t said ours wouldn’t be heated. At check-in we learned that, despite booking a Deluxe Suit with a private pool and sea view, our villa’s pool wasn’t heated. The owner’s daughter was kind and let us use the heated pool at the other duplex villa for the first two days. Apparently only the duplex has a heated pool. On our last day, there was no heated pool available, which was difficult because our toddler wanted to swim. The main pool beside the bar wasn’t heated either. We were there with our six-month-old, our toddler, and four adults. The remote location was quiet, and the place was immaculately clean. The crew were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great, with a huge tray of food, but remember to move leftovers onto your own plate or they may take them away too. The coffee bar isn’t refillable. The food was delicious, though a bit pricey. We’d rather pay extra than drive ten minutes to town along the rough road with sharp turns. The beach was a nice walk away and empty during our stay.
