Cleio's Rooms

We found plenty of taverns and restaurants within walking distance, and right across the road there was a handy mini market open for most of the day with everything we needed. The hotel itself was beautiful and in a great spot.

The staff were lovely and always helpful, and the rooms are simple, pretty much what you’d expect from a Greek 3-star hotel. It’s around a 10-minute walk to the nearest beach, with more than ten restaurants and snack bars within a 20-minute walk. The breakfast gets repetitive, though. We stayed for two weeks, so a shorter visit might not be bothered by the limited variety. The pool also has some issues: I think it ranges from 1.5 to 2.8 metres deep, with the water at least 30 cm below the edge. All three sets of steps just stop, making it awkward to get out. It isn’t great for young children or anyone unsure of their swimming, and people often sit on the steps in the water or let kids play there.

The rooms were spotless and we loved our stay. Mickey at reception was especially lovely. We’ll be back.

Every member of staff was friendly and efficient, and our ground-floor room was very clean, with a newly refurbished bathroom. We stayed here last week before spending a week in Kos. The room was a little small, and the pool is lovely but quite deep, though that wasn’t an issue for us. Service at the nearby pool bar could be better. Often nobody was there, so we had to wait, though luckily not for too long. As a couple of earlier reviews mentioned, some guests get up early to put towels on sunbeds to reserve them.
