Catherina really takes care of everything. She arranged a transfer, suggested places to go, and even rented a car for us and brought it to the hotel. The manager, Catherine, was always smiling and so helpful. We also met two other ladies working there who were very nice. By the end of our stay, we’d made a new friend abroad. The breakfast was tasty, the hotel was peaceful, and our room had a sea view. The pool lighting looked lovely at night. It’s close to Oia’s main promenade, and the most attractive place in Oia is a 20-minute walk. The hotel makes a good base for excursions, but you can also enjoy the views from there while ordering something from the mini bar. There’s a nice vibe, too. If we go to santorini again, we’ll definitely return.

Peaceful and quiet, but still an easy trip to Oia and a handful of beaches. The room was quaint, comfortable, and nicely kept. Everyone on staff was friendly and accommodating, and the pool was lovely. Just a very nice place to stay.

Our three-night booking was meant to be the start of what we thought would be the best holiday ever, after an amazing time in Paros. Instead, a hotel email told us our booking had been cancelled because they’d tried to contact me, though they hadn’t. We couldn’t find anywhere else to stay in Santorini, so everything we’d planned had to be cancelled. I’d never recommend trying to book here. The hotel isn’t reliable.

I guess you get what you pay for, and sometimes end up paying more. My partner, friends, and I booked Ecoxenia for two nights. We had one single room and one quadruple room, and arranged airport pickup and drop-off with the hotel. Communication was great until we landed at JTR. We spent 30 minutes looking for the shuttle that was supposed to be waiting with our name, while trying to reach the hotel by phone and Booking.com messenger. Nobody answered, so we squeezed all five of us into a taxi and left. Our rooms weren’t ready when we arrived, and we were told to come back in two hours. That was fine since we’d arrived early. But when we returned 2.5 hours later, they gave us one single room and said the other room might not be ready because the previous tenant still hadn’t checked out, even though checkout time had passed. When it was finally ready, that room was single too. I told the employee we’d paid for a quadruple room, but she said this was what they had. We’d already paid the higher quadruple room rate. I contacted Booking.com customer service and asked if they could refund the difference, about 51 euros. The manager spoke with us the next day, took full responsibility, and apologized, which I appreciated. She said she couldn’t do a partial refund through booking.con, only a full refund. Her plan was to charge the correct amount, about $300 usd, and process a full refund of about $350 usd through booking. She said it would be done by Monday. It’s Tuesday now, three days later, and neither we nor Booking.com can reach them to confirm the charge and refund. I’ve emailed, sent messages on booking.con, and called, with no response. The employees were nice, and they said they were all brand new. But it feels sketchy that the company cut off communication after overcharging a guest and owing them a $350 refund. The communication was great before the stay, then vanished as soon as problems came up. That’s completely unprofessional. Promising airport transportation and then not showing up is unprofessional too, as is ignoring calls and emails from booking websites you work with. They single handed ruined what should have been a wonderful stay in Oia. After what we went through, I wouldn’t recommend staying here to anyone.
