I got food poisoning. We arrived at the hotel perfectly healthy, then started feeling sick a couple of hours after dinner. It wasn’t just my friend and me: we later learned a few other students, whom we hadn’t spoken with before that day, had very similar symptoms. We’d all eaten the same dish, and the severity seemed to match how much of it we’d had. I’m also really disappointed by the owner’s replies to negative reviews. They suggest he can’t take criticism, even to improve the sanitary measures. What he told my friend, who also got ill, simply isn’t true. Tourists, beware.

The cleaning ladies did come through every day, cleaning and changing the towels, and the staff were friendly. But the food was the worst I’ve had in Greece, with imitation and frozen products, and the rooms felt old. The location seemed like the middle of nowhere. There was no playground for children or other entertainment, such as a Greek night.

The staff were okay, but the place felt like it was in the middle of nowhere. The food looked awful and wasn’t good, and after eating there once I got food poisoning. I really don’t recommend it.

Fani was the highlight for me. She was kind, polite, caring, and cleaned our room so thoroughly there wasn’t a trace left. The cleaners kept the hotel brilliantly clean. We stayed in room 210 on the second floor with my mother, from 23 to 30 August 2025. If Fani reads this, I was the teenager staying there with his mother. The beds were super comfortable, with great mattresses. There were a couple of faint mold marks in the bathroom, two burned-out lights, and a wardrobe hinge that broke but was later fixed. We used a flashlight before bed because of the lights. Breakfast and dinner were tasty and varied, apart from the first day, which wasn’t as good. The hotel was wonderful, and the village atmosphere was pleasant for walks before and during sunset. One evening a smell of sheep drifted from behind the hotel. The sun shone so much during the day that I returned to Sofia as dark as a gypsy. There were tourist buses in front of the hotel. The beach, Grand Platon Beach Bar, was about a 10-minute walk away, and the people there were very nice, including the waiters. Olympiakí Akti was about 20 minutes on foot, along a path leading to the beach bar. Paralia was about 40 minutes away, too far for me. I also remember the kind people we met from the moment we left Sofia: two Bulgarian teachers, Tanya and Larisa, who came to the beach with us, and my friend with a dark green BMW E36, my favorite car. The Polish children’s groups were very quiet. Each evening at 10:30 PM, they went to bed and fell asleep without a peep. Once they took their beach towels down from the second floor and thumped on the windows, but I really liked them. They also gathered each evening to entertain themselves, and one day went somewhere on a tourist bus. There was a lot more I could say, but that’s enough for now.

We’re staying at the hotel now, and despite having felt skeptical when we booked all inclusive because of the mixed reviews, I’d gladly come back and recommend it. The staff are all polite and helpful, and every area is sparkling clean. The food isn’t as varied as at other all inclusive hotels we’ve tried, but about 90% of it is delicious. We’re satisfied with the daily options and flavors, and I don’t understand the complaints I’d read. The sea is a bit far for us with a little child, since walking there in the hot sun isn’t an option. The music in the public areas is quite random and unpleasant to my ears, though music taste is subjective.
