Dream of Paros

Dream of Paros offers beautiful decor and warm hospitality, making for a very pleasant vacation. The accommodation was excellent.

We had a great time in Parikia. The rooms were spotless, the service was excellent, and the location was right in the center.

The location was decent enough, with a small parking lot just above the property. The comfort studio was a good size for two, but ours was in the basement, and it seems all the comfort rooms are there. When we arrived, the room wasn’t ready until 4:30 PM, although the usual check-in time was 3:00 PM. We also had to check in at another hotel about a seven-minute walk away. The photos don’t really show what it’s like. There was a damp, unpleasant smell in the room, so we had to leave the only ceiling air vent slightly open, though it couldn’t open all the way. That meant hearing people walking past, and the staff member handling reception and housekeeping. Even with the little window shut, the staff noise in the morning was hard to bear. Housekeeping also kept switching off the A/C we’d set to cool the room. The bathroom wasn’t clean on arrival, with hair in it, the shower was clogged and drained slowly, and the door didn’t fit the frame and wouldn’t shut properly. We reported these problems, but they were dismissed. Staff later politely offered a refund if we weren’t satisfied; I would have accepted, except it was peak holiday season and finding another place would have been difficult.

We liked the space overall. It’s small, clean, and close to everything, though the view isn’t good. When you step onto the balcony, people across the street can see you.
