Petalides Apartments

The rooms are pretty average and have what you need, but the view is absolutely stunning. You can hear the soothing waves, the beach is clean, and there’s a great restaurant nearby.

From the room, the view is just perfect, and the hotel sits right on the beach. A staircase leads down to an area that feels like a private beach just for you, and the owners provide beach chairs. There’s also a good restaurant right next door. The owners were extremely nice, made sure we settled in, and offered to drive us to the port if we needed. The rooms are standard, with air conditioning, towels, clean sheets, and closets. The bathroom has no door, so keep that in mind. The kitchen isn’t fully equipped, but there’s a small electric hot plate and pans for quick meals, and the fridge worked fine with water already inside. There are lots of stairs, and the property isn’t wheelchair accessible.

The sheets and towels smelled of cigarettes, and the cats around the place could get a little annoying when we were trying to eat breakfast outside. Nikos was really helpful and always drove us to the port, which is the city centre. The location is exceptional, and kitchen utilities were provided.

The balcony view was great, but we hated the hotel and tried to spend as much time away from it as possible. We had ants in the kitchen, power problems, and no hot water. Getting there was difficult even by car, and the walking route into town was rocky and not easy. The shower wasn’t mounted on the wall, so you had to stand in the bath and hold it, which was awful with no hot water. The steps up to the apartment were treacherous.
