We felt right at home, and the family owned business really made an effort to make our stay as nice as possible. Staff were welcoming and remembered our preferences. The service was great from the welcome drinks at check-in through our last breakfast. They serve homemade breakfasts with different options each day. While we ate breakfast, the room was cleaned, and they came back for evening service. The one thing I’d suggest improving is the bathrooms a bit. I’ll always recommend a family run place. Thank you!

We had a great location, just a short ride from the busy port area, and the rooms were clean, cozy, and nice. Breakfast was amazing and a delicious way to start the day. Petra’s website lets you book restaurants around the island, and taxis arrive quickly when requested through Petra. Christos and his family clearly care about your comfort and wellbeing, and the staff share that same approach. We travel all over and stay in hotels often, but our time at Petra was one of a kind. Our birthdays were a day apart, and they surprised us both days with cakes and singing. Another guest joked that our table must be special and wanted it the next morning. We can’t wait to return, hopefully for a longer stay at this oasis.

What keeps bringing us back to Patmos is the whole experience at the Petra, especially Mrs. Petra’s cooking and the concierge’s helpful suggestions. My husband and I have spent the past two summers there, and we’ve already booked for June 2025. We love coming back after a day on the water to have rocket salad, and breakfast each morning is generous. When we arrive, there are snacks and lemonade waiting in the lovely rooms. The hotel has a sleek pool, comfortable loungers, and plenty of umbrellas for shade, with an incredible view over Griko Bay. Founded by a couple years ago, the Petra combines classic Greek hospitality with an updated, state-of-the-art property. The staff, led by Mrs. Petra, go out of their way to make sure guests have a wonderful stay. Some of our favorite places and experiences on the island came from the concierge’s suggestions. We’ve made some of our favorite memories here and plan to keep visiting. Can’t wait to see you guys in June!

The personal touches are what made Petra Hotel stand out for us. Mrs. Petra surprised my wife with a birthday cake and Prosecco, and Ms. Angie helped smoothly from booking through checkout. It’s the kind of attentive service I rarely see, even in luxury hotels. We booked through Hilton and enjoyed the member perks while staying at this intimate, family-run boutique hotel. I travel often and have top-tier memberships with IHG, Hilton, and Accor, but Petra Hotel in Patmos is one I’d particularly recommend. The rooms and shared spaces were spotless, and the pool was sparkling and felt like a private retreat. It worked well for our family. The setting is peaceful, with the sea only a three-minute walk away, so it’s quiet while still convenient. Breakfast was served at the table and focused on local flavors. The whole stay felt perfect, and Petra Hotel sets a high bar for personal service.
