We had a really good stay. The rooms were clean and fairly modern, and from the top floor you get a nice city view. Staff were helpful and polite, and the prices were very reasonable. One of the best centrally located hotels in Patra.

I live here, and my wife has me try hotel rooms often, so I’m getting to know the options. Unless you really need the view, I’d choose this place over Bizantino and the hotel next to Byzantino that Bizantino operates, both of which cost almost twice as much. I also stayed at Patras Palace: its rooms were about twice the size, with a brilliant fifth-floor view, for a similar price, and its breakfast was easily the best. This hotel was much nicer than I expected. My cheapest available room had a well laid out feel, plenty of space, a balcony, and the best bathroom. It’s among the most expensive places I’ve stayed in Patras, though I usually stay in hotels ten times pricier in other cities.

You can get to most of the city’s attractions easily from here, which makes the location ideal for sightseeing. The room was neat and clean, and the price seemed fair for its quality. The TV, though, never worked properly.

The only real plus was how close the hotel is to everything. Inside, it felt old, dated, and honestly embarrassing. Our room didn’t look like the advertised photos at all: peeling paint, rusty old bathroom fixtures, and a bed sagging into a dip in the middle. That mattress belongs in a dumpster, not in a hotel room people pay for. The room and the foyers reminded us of American Horror Story, and we were very uncomfortable. They should show the rooms guests actually get, not just the one or two they’ve renovated. Breakfast was served downstairs at 8:30 in 33-degree heat, with no air conditioning. Cheese and cold meats sat on a board under a glass cover without being chilled. I could imagine bacteria growing on it. Not a nice stay. I was very disappointed. Pay a little more and try to find somewhere better.
