193 Urban Hotel

I wouldn't trust this place. I booked nearly two months ahead for 24/10, but just three days before arrival, on 05/09, they told me to cancel because they were “overbooked.” They didn't offer any actual solution.

The view over almost all of Patra was lovely, and the hotel is in a very good spot. But our room hadn't been cleaned when we arrived. There was hair all over the bathroom and shaved hair in the sink, so we cleaned it ourselves and moved on. At 7 in the morning, men started dragging heavy furniture on the terrace right above us. It sounded like a frantic removal, and we thought it would stop soon, but they kept going. I went up and found five men moving metal chairs and sofas around to try new positions. I asked if they realized guests were sleeping below the roof. They said, without any ill will, that they hadn't known. I went back downstairs and the noise continued. That's what our stay was like. It's a nice place otherwise, but I can't recommend it.

The room was comfortable and nicely put together, and the location at the bottom of the famous steps was great. From the rooftop bar, the view was lovely. Breakfast was included and amazing. You can have it beside a lovely garden, where there's also café seating. Denise was really friendly.

The rooms were average, though they had a nice view, and the location was pretty good. The price seemed to match the service. What put me off was the atmosphere. Management should treat the staff with more respect, which made for a poor first impression.
