City Loft Hotel

The hotel is walkable from the city center, but the paid garage it owns is a few steps away and costs €10 a night, which is pretty pricey. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, though the toilet seat was loose. It’s advertised with a kitchen, but you have to call to get the amenities. There’s cable TV, not a smart TV. I was disappointed that there was no air conditioning in October. Reception said October counts as winter, so only heating was available. I asked for a fan, but they didn’t have one, and there was no effort to make up for it. I had to leave the door fully open to make the room feel less stuffy. It’s not a cheap hotel, so I expected air conditioning and heating all year. Thankfully, I only needed to stay one night.

We paid extra for a deluxe room and couldn’t see what the upgrade was for, since the “kitchenette” was just a sink. We had to ask for a kettle. At night, every sound from the nearby rooms carried through the walls. After being out all day, we came back and found the room hadn’t been cleaned. When we asked at reception what there was to do in Patras, the answer was “nothing”. Lovely customer service.... The price didn’t feel worth it for what we got.

A good pick for Patra city, with free parking nearby and a nice balcony with plants. The room was spacious and simply designed, with a large refrigerator and kitchen. It was around 75 euros without breakfast, which costs 10 euros per person. Good value for money!

The bed was listed as a large double, but it was made up of two single mattresses that kept separating during the night. When I mentioned it to reception, they said that was just how it was and they could close them together if we told them, since they use them separately when needed. That didn’t seem right to me. The shower head also had women’s black hair on it and a lot of scale, so the room wasn’t very clean. :(
