Porto Rio Hotel

The staff were very polite and professional, from receptionists and lifeguards to baristas and cleaning staff. The hotel is clean and in a very good location, and some renovation seems to have happened, though more is definitely needed. Our room's air conditioning was hard to keep at a comfortable temperature, so check with reception about it. The bathroom doors also need attention, and the poolside tiles with a wood effect get extremely slippery when you're barefoot.

We loved being just a two-minute walk from the beach, with the bungalows tucked among pine trees. My family and I had a wonderful stay: the staff were great, and there was a delicious, varied choice of food each day.

We came for a wedding, and we've loved this area for years. The room was basic and average, perhaps a little overpriced. Still, the private beach is quiet for relaxing during the day, and the water is lovely. At sunset, the gorgeous colors and the evening breeze make it a must-see combination.

The staff are amazing, but the hotel hasn't been looked after well over the years. There's water damage throughout, cracked and crumbling walls, chipped paint, and balcony doors that don't lock. The beds are really uncomfortable, and the food selection is just okay. The buffet definitely isn't worth 25 euros. This place could be what it used to be again, but they'd need to spend money bringing it back to life. 🤝
