We arrived at 2.30 am, and the TUI coach left us at the bottom of the hill. The walk to the apartment took no more than about 5 minutes. Watch out for the Taverna on the way up, as we nearly went there by mistake. A white notice board shows your name and room number, and tells you where to go. There's no reception, but you can message or email if you need something, which helps keep the cost affordable. The next day, fill in the form on the desk in your room and leave it for the cleaner. There was a 14 Euro tax to pay, depending on the length of your stay. Our room was lovely and cool when we arrived, and the AC was excellent and included in the price. It had a fridge with a small freezer compartment, a complimentary bottle of water, a safe for valuables, a TV we didn't use, and cooking gear including an electric hob, plates and cups. The shower worked well. Rooms are basic but recently refurbished to a modern standard, with nice views of the coast and mountains. The pool was great, with deckchairs and umbrellas available for sunbathing. The studios are fairly high up, so you're away from the loud resorts. Parking is available at the top of the hill. A lovely lady who manages the apartments cleaned our room and changed the beds every day. The Taverna Alixis next door is well worth a visit, and the supermarket at the bottom of the hill has everything you need. The big bus stop 54 is not far away, with buses to Lindos or Rodos. They only take cash, though you can book online on Ktel's website. It's about a 10-minute walk to the beach, where you can also book the glass-bottom boat. We were offered a later checkout because our flight was later. You can send room requests by WhatsApp or email, or tell the room attendant. If you want a clean, modern basic apartment with a lovely sea view and included AC, I highly recommend Lia Studios.
