The welcome was a nice touch: the owner left us beer, bottled water, and wine. The room was inexpensive, with a comfortable mattress and working AC. We had a great view, and there’s a bus stop and beaches close by. Planes weren’t much of a bother, especially with the window shut. But the cleaning lady left a wet, dirty towel on our bed and left the key in the door, so anyone could have walked in.

Breakfast was very good, and each room had effective heating and AC. The staff kept the place really clean. The main downsides were a busy road running between the two parts of the hotel and planes passing close overhead on their approach to the airport. Closing the windows and playing white noise from a phone app helped cut down the aircraft noise.

The view was lovely, especially when planes came in to land. I stayed for two nights, and the place felt cozy, but evenings were noisy until about 23:00 and planes started again around 6:00 in the morning. I could hardly sleep.

For €2.50 you can take a local boat to Mouse Island and back. It’s a tiny island with stairs leading up to a pretty chapel, plus a little gift shop and cafe run by a lovely lady. The coast views are great, and you can watch planes approaching Corfu airport. We really enjoyed the trip.

There’s a pool and lovely ocean views, and the hotel itself is lovely. I gave it one star because I was kicked out after apparently being mistaken for another guest who had caused trouble. The owner also directed homophobic abuse at me over the phone.
