We’re already booking for next year. The staff made us feel so welcome, and the rooms were cleaned every day. Breakfast had a lovely buffet and great coffee. Around the amazing pool there are lots of umbrellas for shade, plus a tree shaded spot with tables and chairs. You can walk to a few tavernas and a lovely bakery. Book the Olive Lounge, it’s popular and has spectacular views of Zante and the mountains. The Secret Garden in Argostoli is lovely too, just a short taxi ride away. The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful. They even arranged a hire car to be brought right to us, which made things completely hassle free. The pool is cleaned each night and has plenty of space, so it never feels crowded. Irene at the snack bar, open all day, always gives you a warm welcome.

The family feel at IONIS HOTEL comes through clearly, with Elias working hard and always around. The staff were attentive and did everything they could to make us comfortable. Our room was older, but spacious, comfortable, well equipped and had crisp sheets. The hotel itself was clean and roomy, and breakfast service was efficient and attentive. The fresh buffet was delicious, and the food was good value. The pool is large, easy to get to and absolutely spotless. There’s more parking than the hotel needs, and restaurants are within walking distance. Thanks for the warm hospitality!

We’ve just had a wonderful 10 days in Kefalonia, and the kindness of the Greek people, especially the hotel owners, made the holiday even more special. Thanks, Ilias & Peri, we’ve made great friends and hope you keep creating lovely memories for many more guests. The hotel is a great base for seeing the island. Ilias arranged a car for us, so we visited Fiskardo, Skala, Argostoli, Myrtis Beach and Platis Galios beach, all amazing. Nearby there are a few restaurants, though you need to go farther afield for the full Greek experience. A taxi to Argostoli costs €15. There’s also a bus on Wednesday and Thursday nights that picks you up at the hotel and brings you back for €4 each way. Another bus goes to Lourdes Beach, which is a shingle beach. Ilias, Peri, their lovely family and Irene looked after us from the moment we arrived. The hotel and pool area were spotless, there were plenty of sunbeds, and our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels. The air conditioning worked perfectly and was essential.
