Perdika Mare Guesthouse

The building is attractive, but the service was awful. I biked from Athens and usually bring my bike into the bedroom when I travel. Leaving it outside felt too risky, and I don't normally even carry a lock. The owner kept insisting it stay outside, and only relented when I said I'd go home and give up my night at the hotel. The sea access in front isn't very safe either, since the bottom is so rocky that you'll need sea shoes. There are better beaches nearby.

A lovely little B&B with spacious, spotless rooms and cozy, minimal decor. It overlooks the sea, and the host was both friendly and professional. You can have coffee, breakfast or a drink at the bar in the seafront courtyard. Perdika's famous fishing village, with its small restaurants and tavernas, is an easy walk away. We'll be back soon!

The location deserves the two stars. The room for three was uncomfortable and had very little space. The toilet intruded into the shower area, and the shower was so tiny that the curtain stuck all over you. We chose to leave the curtain open, which meant water all over the floor. Our towels weren't replaced the next day either. We've stayed in much better places in Greece for the same price.

Christos, the manager, was so personable and went out of his way to share everything we needed to know for our stay. The room was clean and pretty, with a small fridge and a nice little outdoor sitting area. Though there isn't a beach, there's a ladder for getting into the water, plus plenty of sun chairs and umbrellas to relax on. The hotel sits right by the water, far enough from the bars and restaurants that noise wasn't an issue. A quick walk over the hill gets you to lots of restaurants and the boats to Moni Island. There are also several grocery stores within a five-minute walk. We'd definitely stay again!
