Tropicana Inn

There’s a large pool outside with a terrace and bar where you can relax in the sun, and a nice beach is about five minutes away on foot. The rooms were clean and pleasant, with a friendly cleaner coming by each day. All the staff were very, very welcoming. We left impressed and happy with our stay.

The pool is clean and deep, and the bar is a nice spot to relax. I liked the coffee and the cocktails, and breakfast was good too. The chicken baguette was delicious, though I can’t recommend the pizza. Staff were polite and welcoming, and the rooms were neat and cleaned daily. The view and location are decent, with some beaches nearby.

The location made getting around easy: there’s a bus stop, a small quiet beach, supermarkets with good prices, a pharmacy, briki cafe for good coffee and Greek salad, and Souvlike for generous portions at a good price. We spent a full week here as a couple and had a great time. The room was cozy and clean, with a TV and a fridge that was handy for keeping water cold in summer. The cleaning lady checked almost every day to see if we needed anything. The two women at reception, Vasilika and Dimitra, I think, were always smiling, polite, and helpful. When we had trouble communicating with a Greek merchant about a payment, one of them offered to help and spoke with him in Greek.

The beach just across from the hotel is lovely, with plenty of trees for shade. The stay was good value for the low price, though the air conditioning costs a little extra and breakfast has limited choices. Nidri is quite a long way off, and part of the walk means going along a road with some cars, so keep that in mind.
