Limas Apartments

Nikos and Ioanna made this feel like staying with friends or family. They work at the hotel themselves, were always friendly and ready to help, and even served me dinner when I arrived late at 10:30 p.m. When I asked for another pillow, it arrived within two minutes at no charge. I stayed at Limas hotel for a week in October. The rooms are quiet, reasonably spacious, clean, freshly painted, and furnished with new furniture. The walls block sound well. Each room has a small kitchen with a fridge and electric stove. Sheets are changed twice a week, rooms are cleaned daily, and Wi-Fi is free in the lobby. I could also use it in my room. There's a swimming pool, and two markets are a few minutes away on foot. Breakfast was good, with yogurt, cheese, ham, eggs, honey and muesli, among other things. Dinner offered at least three main courses with different sides, and the choices changed from day to day. The food was really tasty, and the bar serves drinks, including excellent homemade rakki. The location worked well for getting around. The beach is a four-minute walk away, and you can rent a car just across the street. Retimno is only a few bus stops away. Chania, the fascinating Venetian city, is also close enough for a visit. Balos beach is about an hour and a half by car, while Triopetra and Preveli are reachable by crossing the island at its narrowest point. I'm very happy to recommend this friendly, convenient place, and it really isn't expensive.
