Theanos House

We spent 10 days in Crete in July, and it was a dream holiday in a cozy, very affordable place. Mr Paul was kind and helped us make good choices for trips around different parts of the island. He gave us useful advice and brought traditional cookies and pies. The charming house is a great base for exploring Crete, set on a narrow street in a traditional building that preserves the local architecture. It has two floors, two terraces, a very well-equipped kitchen, three beds downstairs, and a double upstairs. Parking is within walking distance, and the nearest beach is a few miles away. Thanks, Mr. Paul!

We originally booked two nights but, because of unforeseen reasons, stayed only one. The owners were very polite and welcomed us with warm smiles and three plates of sweets. The house was clean and tidy, and it’s a well-equipped, typical rural Cretan place. There are five beds and two TVs, plus a full-size oven, fridge, and washing machine. We liked the small front yard and lovely terrace. For what we paid, it was a real bargain.

Pigi is a charming village with a shop, pharmacy, and restaurants. The house is great, has everything you need, and comes with a lovely terrace. Paul is an amazing host. Highly recommend.

Pavlos made us feel very welcome and was incredibly helpful. The house is lovely and excellent value for money, in a quiet village that has a bakery, mini market, and good tavernas. It also makes a very good base for trips.
