Gallery Port Tower Hotel

A nice balcony was a welcome touch, and the room was simple and clean. The bathroom was quite small, but clean as well. The breakfast buffet was fine, and the staff, including at the front desk, were attentive. It's a pleasant hotel right by the port where most, maybe all, of the ferries are. Good overall, and excellent value for money.

The bed was really comfortable, and the air conditioning was easy to adjust. Staff were kind and helpful, and breakfast was okay, though below what I’d expect from a five-star hotel. We didn’t try the gym or sauna. For a short stay before a ferry from Piraeus, the price makes sense. Just know the rooms are on the small side and the doors don’t block hallway noise well. It feels closer to a four-star superior place than a full five-star hotel, so it’s worth considering if you’re not expecting five-star facilities and standards.

Our ferry was canceled because of the weather, so we ended up at this hotel by chance. It turned out to be a lovely stay. The room was peaceful at night, with a patio and a beautiful view over the city. The shower was roomy and very nice, and everything was super clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we could walk to everything. We’d happily stay again and highly recommend it.

The staff were polite and kind, but that was the only good part of my stay. The hotel’s condition doesn’t match its five-star rating, and I wouldn’t recommend it right now. Breakfast was a letdown: poor juices, hardly any fruit, disappointing scrambled eggs, and no good coffee. The savory items all seemed like cheap ready-made food, and I’ve had tastier choices at Lidl :). For a hotel in this category, not having a live cooking station is a big oversight. There was dust under the bed, and it stayed there throughout my four-day visit. The corridors were noisy the whole time too. The cleaning staff talked and laughed loudly, disturbing guests who were trying to rest. The hotel needs to improve both cleanliness and food service.
