Lilia Hotel

You get a clean room, a comfortable bed, a good breakfast, and staff who are really helpful. It’s a 2-star hotel, so don’t expect a 5-star range of facilities. The street is quiet, with the marina about a 5-minute walk away, the metro around 10 minutes on foot, and the port gates roughly 15-20 minutes away. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

For a stop during a trip, I’d definitely recommend Lilia hotel. It’s a small, good-value place with clean, cozy rooms and really friendly staff. The view could be better, but breakfast comes with tasty Christmas cookies, which was a nice bonus.

The mattress was the main downside for me. I could feel the springs, there were only two pillows for the double bed, and a softer mattress topper would help. There also wasn’t much space for clothes. The rest was pleasant: staff were helpful, reception stayed open around the clock so you could leave your key there, and the room was cleaned daily. It’s not too far from the metro, though the walk up to the hotel is steep. Breakfast was nice, but I didn’t like that the coffee came from a machine. We stayed for a week.

The staff and location were excellent, and it worked fine for one night before our cruise. But one of us got bites, possibly from bedbugs or mosquitoes, and I kept smelling smoke that made my throat feel harsh. After staying, I understood the price. I was fine with the place and it did the job, but my girlfriend was less impressed. Given those issues, I couldn’t recommend it.
