Mika Villas

We had a relaxing and very pleasant nine-day stay at Mika in an east-facing villa with a private pool for eight. It offered the privacy you might want, and the quality and finish were very decent and on point. The staff were warm and welcoming, always available for a little chat. Parking was the one small downside. We often had to leave the car along the steep street instead of using the available parking lot. Even so, we had a very nice stay and would definitely recommend booking your holiday here.

Our two-room villa with a private pool, room 301, worked really well with a child. Mika villas is clean and cozy, and the family who runs it welcomes you warmly. The staff are friendly, and it’s a short walk up to the village. Just be aware the place sits on a hill, so getting around on foot can be a challenge if you have trouble walking. We had a lovely stay and I’d happily recommend it.

Pathos beach was a great family choice, about 25 minutes away by car. A lovely lady at Restaurant David suggested it, and it was less crowded and more family-friendly. Hersonissos’s busy center is only a 10-minute drive, though we barely noticed the party teenagers in our town. Nearby towns have Greek restaurants, bars, little shops, a supermarket, and everything else we needed within a 5-10 minute walk. We came in July with our toddler and had a really enjoyable holiday. The private pool meant we could relax outside while our son napped. The hotel is beautiful and has a wonderfully relaxing feel. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. We’d love to come back.

The breakfast buffet had a good choice of hot and cold food, and the staff cleaned very thoroughly every day. Our villa felt luxurious, with a private pool and its own air conditioner in each room. There was always a street parking space, and shops and restaurants were easy to reach on foot or by car. A great base for a family holiday in Crete.
