Helios Beach Studios

It was such a relaxing and quiet stay at Helios Beach Studios, just a step from the beach. The owner was really nice and paid attention to every detail and to our well-being. Super recommended, we had an unbeatable experience! If you’re heading to Naxos for an unforgettable holiday, I highly recommend staying here, far away!

We come to Naxos and Plaka every summer, and Helios has the best location, very close to the sea while staying quiet all day. The rooms are very clean and have all the necessary equipment, air conditioning, and more. The staff are lovely and friendly, always ready to help.

We never even got inside to see whether the apartment itself matched the listing. When we reached the property, we told the manager we couldn’t stay there and left to find somewhere else on the fly. The listing was misleading: it wasn’t a beautiful beachfront property, but a semi-livable apartment building at least a 10-minute walk from the beach, through a construction zone and a farm pasture. There’s no public transportation access unless you count the nearest bus stop, over 20 minutes away, with more than 10 minutes of walking through sand. To avoid that, you’d need a taxi each time, and the drivers have to charge at least 30 euros per trip to get there. If money isn’t a concern, or you’re renting a car, you probably wouldn’t be looking for a “cost saver” place anyway, so even then it hardly makes sense. After we confronted the manager, he apologized for how different and awful everything had been and promised a 100% refund. But when I followed up with Booking.com days later, they told me he’d lied and gone back on that promise. This was quite literally the worst experience I’ve ever had with paid accommodation. Don’t go to this property or give this owner your business.

The owner was very easy to communicate with. Great place between mikri vigla and plaka.
