Resting in the afternoon was difficult because housekeeping kept coming into our room without knocking, even with the “Do Not Disturb” sign clearly up. That disregard for our privacy made the stay uncomfortable. The hotel aims to be relaxing, so staff should respect the sign and keep things quieter. The mornings were noisy too. Breakfast room service ran at different times for each room, and the trolley kept rolling up and down the corridor. One morning, while my husband was still asleep, I politely asked a staff member to be quieter. She loudly slammed the metal food covers for no apparent reason. Cleaning upstairs was another problem. The staff noise was so disruptive it sounded more like construction than housekeeping. I asked reception to do something about it, but nothing changed. This is not a good fit for light sleepers or people who stay up late.

The beds and pillows were the best I've ever had, and our beautiful apartment had delicious breakfasts made with local food. The spa was clean and lovely, and the pools were at a perfect temperature. Everything, from the facilities to the staff, was far beyond what I expected. We met such friendly, welcoming people: the inclusive and friendly hotel director, Elda, the lovely, smiley and very helpful receptionist, Martine, who gave me such a good massage, and all the other amazing staff. Belvedere hotel is the best hotel I've ever visited. I'd give it 10 stars if I could, and I'll definitely come back.

The apartment was spacious and comfortable, and the facilities were excellent. Breakfast was incredible, delivered to the apartment whenever you wanted it. I loved my stay, and the massage at the spa was excellent. Highly recommend it.

They cancelled my booking with only 4 days left before the trip. At first there was no explanation; later emails said other guests had extended their stay. What? I'd assumed a fully paid booking was confirmed and would take priority over someone extending their stay.

The rooms are finished to a very high standard, and I had a really good time. The owner was very helpful, and a few small problems were sorted out without any trouble. Checkout was a little confusing, but otherwise it was a great stay.
