Costas & Chrysoula

We spent two weeks here and found it an excellent base for touring and walking in South Crete. The staff were lovely, and the hotel was kept very clean. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt, meats, cheeses, eggs, and fresh bread. There’s a beautiful pool with sunbeds, and the beach and restaurants are only a few steps away. I’d highly recommend it.

A great choice for families. The pool was quite large, and the hotel is ideally placed near the center of Plakias and the beach. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated, the staff were so friendly and helpful, and breakfast had more than we could ask for. Thanks, Costas & Chrysoula, for such a pleasant stay. Definitely recommended!

The little seaside town is pretty and not overcrowded, in a scenic holiday region. It also makes a good base for independent excursions.

We love these apartments and the people who look after them. We’ve already booked for June and September next year. When we came in June, our Tour Operator charged £300 for taxi transfers. This time K & C arranged them for just €200, a significant saving, and, more importantly, peace of mind. After being let down by a Tour Operator once and only making our flight by “the skin of our teeth”, we knew a locally booked taxi would definitely be there. Kostas, Chrysoula, and their team took excellent care of us again. We’re grateful they let us have our favourite room, booked our taxi transfers, and arranged for us to keep the room until 17.00 on departure day. This isn’t the kind of place where you get a key from reception and are forgotten until checkout. Everything at the apartments and at the Gorgona Taverna was superb, with a setup that works so well because of the people. Agghelos runs the bar and is a legend, the best of the best. Silvia keeps everything spotlessly clean, is so friendly, and treats you like family. At the Gorgona, Georgios is physically a giant with an equally huge personality. Demetrius is the oil that keeps everything running smoothly, and Nicos is the intelligent one who makes sure everything is perfect for you. The food is excellent, and we ate there every evening. A huge thank you to everyone for making sure we had another perfect holiday. We’re rally grateful.
