Atlantica Ocean Beach Resort

The recent room upgrades have made a real difference, with modern, comfortable rooms that are thoughtfully laid out. We first came when it was the Louis Creta Princess, and it's been lovely seeing how it's changed. The sea view we requested this time gave us beautiful views of the ocean, pool and area, thanks to Mr. Andrea's. The facilities are excellent, and there's plenty of tasty food to choose from. Staff are reliably friendly and hardworking, with special thanks to Efi and Nektarios in the restaurant and Irene at the pool bar, who always greets people with a smile. Dominica cleaned our room daily. Atlantica Ocean Beach is our favourite holiday spot. We've been back many times over the last decade and keep finding reasons to return. It's right on the sea, and the local bus stop outside makes trips to Platanias or Chania easy. We had a restful, enjoyable break and are looking forward to next year.

The resort was clean and comfortable, with all-you-can-eat buffets, and we could spend the whole day playing by the pools. We'd definitely holiday here again. As a family, this was one of our best destinations, and the resort team were brilliant. Mariangela welcomed us so warmly, made us feel at home, and even upgraded our room. We needed milk for our youngest soon after arriving, and she went out of her way to take me to the cafe where her mother, Efi, works. They kindly gave us cartons to keep in our room. Whenever we passed reception, the shop or the food stalls, staff greeted our kids with smiles, and they even picked up a little Greek. The staff also gave them puzzles and games, which was incredibly kind. These people are a real asset to the resort. If there's a bonus scheme, please include them.

The room was a good size and had a nice balcony. We didn't try the other à la carte restaurant since we had the buffet too, but Oregano was amazing. The main restaurant offered good choices, and the food tasted good with no complaints, though the buffet could still improve to match the new rooms. Drinks were always good. The entertainment was aimed at families but still fun, especially the Masquerade show, white party and Greek night. There's a bus stop outside for Chania, and shops are all within walking distance. A great stay.

We loved our time at Atlantica Ocean Beach Resort Crete and can't wait to come back. It was beautifully clean, fresh and well designed, and looked even better in person than in the photos. We arrived late at night, but Maria, the guest relations manager at reception, gave us a warm welcome and made check-in easy. That friendly, professional service continued throughout our visit, with staff always ready to help. The beach is only a few steps away, clean and calm, good for swimming or relaxing with a drink. The pool area was also lovely and well kept, with lots of sunbeds and a laid-back feel. Food was a highlight: the buffet had plenty of fresh, well-prepared choices for everyone, especially local dishes and desserts, and the restaurant team were attentive. Evening activities and entertainment added something without being too loud or intrusive, so there was a nice mix of fun and relaxation. We'd absolutely recommend Atlantica Ocean Beach Resort to anyone visiting Crete.
